"Favorites: Part 1" is the fifth chapter and final chapter in volume one of the manga. The "Favorites" storyline is not concluded until chapter seven.
It gets around that Mariko and Tsutomu have broken up and Mikako feels bad for Tsutomu. Everyone later dresses up for the school's ending ceremony and plan to go to the after party. During the break, Tsutomu goes to a special school to receive a motorcycle license. Mikako buys him a "Cub" to cheer him up before learning he cannot drive anyone around for a year.
