Shiro is a little fluffy kitten, that Hirohiko Sakurada found at the beach, six months before Mikako and Tsutomu came to look for him at his exhibition in Kanagawa, for the first time after Mikako's parents divorce [1]. Even despite the fact, that pets are prohibited where he lives, Hirohiko anyway decided to keep her. He called her Shiro because her fur is white ("shiro" means "white" in japanese), by the same logic as Mikako called her kitten Kuro, because his fur is black. Shiro has small bell on her collar.
